This is the part where I am supposed to say how brilliant I am. However, having someone say something good about you is better than anything you could ever say about yourself. The logical and creative solution? Pay people to say nice things about you!  If people find value in my work it is because of the time and patience that others have invested in me during my career. Good business is and always will be about people. Good business is about relationships.

The examples of my work are not necessarily representative of my capabilities but rather a representation of the limitations that each project inevitably imposes in terms of time and budget. The advantage of being a "hands on" producer allows you to determine what is and is not possible. It saves time and money. Believe me, clients like saving money.

So dive in. The worst that can happen? You might learn something.

PRODUCTION - POST PRODUCTION

My production experience has taken me from Canada to Chile and has presented almost every imaginable challenge. ENG, in studio, live switching, production for special effects and more. I have been at the helm of many projects and each presents it's own set of challenges. Effective production is a direct result of flawless pre-production. Did I say flawless? As close as one can get to it!

I am also an accomplished  editor. Effective editing can make or break a project. Timing, pacing, and duration all play a huge part in the impact and delivery of a visual product. Editing is very much like being a musician. You can only get so far on knowledge and education, the rest is all about "feeling". That, you either have or you don't.

SPECIAL EFFECTS

Everything you see on television today is manipulated digitally. It may be something as subtle as color correction or a transparent effect, to an all out blow your mind effects shot. In either case, we can do more and more importantly, create a more effective product with special effects. The trick is knowing when and when not to use them. I began my career as an animator and special effects artist and I must admit, it is my favorite area of the visual creation process. My experience covers the following:

PRODUCER

I began my career in animation and effects work and later graduated to writing, producing and directing. My experience with animation and effects gives me invaluable insight regarding the approach and execution of my projects as writer, producer and director. Knowing how things work from a technical standpoint allows me to work very efficiently saving time, money and keeps me from costly trial and error approaches.

Writing is another strength due to technical knowledge. By knowing what is and is not possible, I write not only for maximum effectiveness in terms of dialog but also produce a script that can be supported by visuals that are within the financial and time parameters of the project.

I am bilingual and have written, produced and directed projects in English and Spanish. I also write for trade publications and create training materials on digital film and content creation.

ANIMATION & MOTION GRAPHICS

Animation can enhance a visual presentation beyond words. I began my career in animation and effects and I am very fortunate to have learned from this foundation. Learning from the inside out as it were has allowed me to work and produce in a very efficient manner. Knowing the technical aspects ahead of time, keeps me on track and gives me a creative freedom to push my projects to the limit because I know what is and is not doable based on available time and finances.

I use a myriad of tools to create my work but more importantly are the results that I produce, not my method. Everyone works differently and there is really no "one solution" for any project. My experience covers the following.
